Topographic survey of the Hreljin viaduct

Abstract

The topographic surveying conducted during realization of the Hreljin viaduct on the Rijeka to Zagreb motorway is described. On this project, the geodetic survey was of high significance, as this structure is located on the route characterized by a complex geometrical shape, and viaduct segments had to be connected in such a way to achieve geometrical accuracy with a very low tolerance setting. A detailed description is given of topographic activities conducted in all phases of realization of the viaduct structure composed of monolithically connected elements.
